The origin of Women's Day
The origin of Women's Day can be attributed to a series of women's movement events in the early 20th century, and the idea of establishing International Women's Day was first produced in the early 20th century. On September 9-15, 1921, the second International Communist Women's Conference was held in Moscow, attended by 82 delegates from 28 countries. At the meeting, the Bulgarian female Communists proposed that in order to commemorate the heroic struggle of Russian female workers in the February Revolution of 1917, International Women's Day should be celebrated on March 8 every year. The Second International Conference of Communist Women adopted this proposal and adopted a resolution designating March 8 as International Women's Day
